Exclamation IReel. Com abuse!

Watch out for the improper and deviase actions on the part of this very poor service provider of videos online. They are charging people for theie so called FREE service trial dispite not having prior consent to do so by the unsupecting new clients that try out their services. And forget about calling this hostile customer servie people who do nothinh to resolve your issues. WARNING: Abusive Policies by IREEL.COM

I have heard of this movie site but have not used it. If their service is abusive, fake.etc. I'm sure this will affect users which which in turn will give the site a bad reputation keeping visitors away and not being very successful

After getting a call (very quickly I might add) from a manager of the service, I was informed of the services practices and also issued a refund. Although I do not agree that any company should by default start charging for so called free trial period offers, this company seems to treasure their customers oppion and responded accordingly. Read before you hit the submit button I gues is what should be learned here.

Lightbulb Update!

I will review more in detail the IReel. com policies and others before falling into another snag. I will also post on my blogs, twitter, facebook and web site the service of theirs and others on the net and what to watch for since I seem to have a talant to be abused by many places unwillingly and of course my age is also a factor. Thanks for the response.

There are plenty of other websites to watch movies If Ireel Is "abusing" their site.

Default They don't issue refunds and the manager won't take calls or emails

They are stealing money from people. I was not able to use the service because I got busy in a business trip. I was charged $34.95 for a month of service and couldn't cancel 7 days after signing up, because their limit is 5 days. I could rent 10 movies with that amount.

This is the worst website ever.

I'm always skeptical to join any service... Unless I know someone is using it, I don't use it... Especially if it's paid... Well at least you guys got your money back, so it's not a total loss...

It takes the long route to get a refund after being so upset for trying to reason / explain things to the woman at the call center / support desk.

We all expect great service from companies offering services in the US. Can you make it easier?. It would be very much appreciated.

ireel.com is a great thing to have streaming movies, my recommmendation is for you to relax your rules, as you did today.

Default I-Reel.com runaround!

I purchased a IReel subscription without doing my homework online investigating the company. Same day I signed up I cancelled Online. What they do not tell you is that there are actually two(2) companies IReel.com and Nowdownloadall.com (or More). Even after receiving the cancellation email October 23, 2009 stating they would not charge me I was charged $1.99 for the (trial) and received today October 30,2009, a charge for $39.95. The customer service number 1-866-277-6181 tries every customer service trick in the book to get you to hangup or give up (long time on hold, confused personnel, wrong company, we didnt send you email cancellation, etc, etc.) What this company does is there is actually more than one company and use excuse that you might of cancelled one but did not cancel the other company charge (misinformation on their websites). Beware this is a shell game/con. I had to discontinue my card and order a new one to "cancel" their charge!

Avoid Ireel at all costs, i've used other site listed within ovguide that have linkage to them when you click on download and plenty of users would automatically assume they are the parent company of the site and if they've enjoyed the experience so far are a bit more inclined to join. Never use ireel player on your site..ever!! it may be visually stunning but the downside is you end up with disgruntled customers who associate your site with the bad experience with Ireel. Its almost like what surfthechannel did by adding a text script that gives the illusion that they themselves are offering a download and link you to graboid..I fell for one of those tricks last year and just like the poster above ended up having to cancel my card in order to avoid any future charges.
