I only created this account because, You have gone from what was a HIGHLY RECOMMENDABLE site, into an i-wouldn't-recommend-you-to-anyone site..

What's with the search results? do they pay for priority?
Are you forgetting that there are viewers in Europe?
Why not, at the very least, leave the old site to people searching from European IP's??

The original site was what drew people.. You have left it WIDE OPEN for anyone to mimic the original site, which in mho was better..

If i search for something now, i get HULU/Fancast/Youtube/ etc. and other sites that are useless to me..

Luckily i have bookmarked my favourite sites ages ago, and don't use OVguide as much anymore..

But thanks to the new changes, i will be using it even less.. Hoping somebody (preferably ovguide), will come out with a better alternative..

The new design has not effected the search results. Nothing else has changed but the layout and a few additions like the video page.

I do agree about HULU though. That site is annoying to most non US citizens and heck even the US citizens. Also AOL Television coming up on a movie result is a bit strange I agree. People are looking for full movies not trailers and interviews.

It's sites like that that should be classified as TV only and should not end up in the movies category. But sites do have to make money some how to help pay for expenses.

well the one i think i don't like is that there are popups in some sections and some weird flash ads that go over the entire page. like in feb there was a lost ad from abc that covered the whole page. didn't like that.

True, but ads is the way OVG is funded, without ads OVG wouldn't be here. Most sites need ads and some pops to stay alive and keep up with costs like hosting.etc.

I don't mind 1 pop but the thing is, you don't have much control over ad content as most ad networks just rotate and approve ads automatically so OVG can't really stop those from creeping in sometimes.

And some ads are those new flashy interactive ads like maybe that Lost one Santos is talking about where you have to hover over it or something and it expands and plays a trailer or audio.etc.

I am Giddy as heck with new Changes ! If not for OV Guide many sites would struggle to get visitors. I applaud OV no matter what their choices are as they are the King of Sites ! Thanks to all the staff at OV Guide

I know they need ads to stay alive but the popup ads are the worst and aren't needed. They don't need to do popup ads to make money, it's annoying and many of the popps launch other popups so it's not a nice way to do this.

They also have sponsored ads which show up in the actual video listings..they should choose either popups or sponsored video listings (in addition to the banner ads they have).

Just my 2 cents.

You know something I do have to agree with the man stating his opinion about the pop up ads..most users hate them, they are a great inconvenience and there are tons of measures one can take to monetize a site that doesn't involve pop ups. Look at what's happening at STC..3 pop ups per page now and guess what the people who once used them are looking for alternatives..that's an easy market for you guys to draw in without the need for pop ups. But alas I don't know the goals of ovguide and what works best for the owner but i'm happy you guys are around.
